AUTOMATED TELLER MACHINE (ATM)

The ATM is our flagship delivery channel. It is through the ATM that cardholders of participating institutions are able to enjoy various services like cash withdrawals, balance enquiry, cash deposits, mini-statements and PIN change. ATMs are located in bank branches and also in off premise locations like shopping malls.

POINT OF SALE (POS)

Kenswitch member banks' cardholders are able to make secure purchases of goods and services from merchant locations without the need for physical cash. This service is availaible countrywide at supermarkets, fuel stations, hotels, hospitals, shopping malls, etc.

MOBILE PHONE

Moblie phone penetration is very high with there being more mobile suscribers than there are bank accounts. Kenswitch members are able to access various services from their mobile phones including account enquiries, bill payments and airtime top-up.

BRANCHLESS BANKING

The concept of branchless banking is now a reality on the Kenswitch network. Kenswitch, in partnership with Kenya Post Office Savings Bank (Postbank), is providing Kenswitch members’ cardholders access to their bank accounts at Postbank branches countrywide. This service enables cardholders to withdraw or deposit cash securely over the counter, using their ATM cards at Point of Sale terminals located at branch tellers.

The footprint of the institution in semi urban and rural areas gives consumers the requisite convenience and alternative delivery channel as well as providing low cost banking services through innovative technology.

The service comes on the back of recent regulations passed by CBK and is poised to exploit the potential of interconnecting banks/financial institutions. This shall also create the need to leverage on technology to promote financial inclusion to the geographic regions hard to reach by conventional banking channels and the funds used to further other facets of the banking industry.

Banks have the opportunity to sign up on the Kenswitch network and reduce the cost of rolling out physical infrastructure in areas they don't have a footprint as well as enjoy the interconnectivity and seamless operation in the region.
